Is Guillermo del Toro the Lovecraft of film?
>>83654218
Where the fuck is Mountains of Madness you fat fuck?
>>83654218
he's the del taco of film
>>83654218
>"I don't like him because he's Mexican."
>>83654218
>"whites are evil parasites"
>LOOK IN A MIRROR YOU FAT WHITE BASTARD
He's the fucking bull
>>83654218
HPL would have hated him for being a disgusting black mexican spic.
>>83654710
I thought he got shut down?
>>83654218
I wish he was my uncle
>>83654218
No, he's a hack, but not as a big a hack as Lovecraft was.
Am I the only one that pronounces it Gill-Ar-Mo Del Toro?
>>83655222
Yes.
>>83654218
No, Lovecraft did a fair amount of work in his career
I didn't really like Pan's Labyrinth
>>83655115
>the ultimate horror is so unfathomable that it drives people to madness just by witnessing it
no wonder he was poor when he was alive
This thread is full of dubs, trips, even quints
>>83655599
I like the concept but it is rather lazy in terms of storytelling
is he really anti-white?
>>83655822
In a lazy brainless SJW kind of way. He tweeted that the character with the hands in Pan's Labyrinth was intended all along as a metaphor for evil white colonialism.

You omit: MISCEGNATION WITH SEAFOOD.

*In a lazy, brainless Mexican kind of way
ftfy, Mexican politics is an uphill fight against the fact that the one thing everyone agrees on is they want free shit and they believe White people are why they don't have free shit.

I don't necessarily object to this. My only point is DUDE LOOK AT YOUR OWN OBJECTIVE UNDENIABLE SKIN COLOR.
>>83654218
he ruined the Hobbit, fuck him he is irredeemable shit.
>>83656121
That's another level of self-delusion inherent to the Mexican character -- race is fluid and ultimately whatever is convenient. Are you a pale, blue-eyed man who supports socialist or communist causes? You're actually a passing Mestizo, one of the people. Are you a 5'5" brown goblin who got a bit of money? White as the driven snow, 100% Mediterranean ancestry.

I honestly wish he would partner up with a Director. He has so many projects and concepts going on that he never focuses on a few as to see them to fruition. Crimson Peak was great in terms of the design and concepts he brought for the movie but the overall plot was lacking and it was just a tool to show his concepts.
The Strain has been going really well surprisingly, I love it but I can see how many others can be turned off by how its developing with the story.
He is such a creative force he needs a partner to reel in all those concepts and ideas and do something great with them.
Anyways, I hope Pacific Rim turns out okay. That we get Mountains of Madness and another Hellboy before he or Perlman dies.
It's actually del Toro's dream to bring Lovecraft's work to life on screen. It's his ultimate pet project.
