Angel was kind of wasted. I'm biased because I love his concept being a mutant whose only power is wings, but he even used them to fight in the beginning with those weird talons, then once they became metal weapons he only shot feathers around and chased Nightcrawler a while.

The beginning with propagandalike Magnetos life was damn funny. Then one arrow kills both wife and daughter. Brilliant dark comedy!

It also got pretty funny when every second line explained what was happening. The military dudes were best when they explained how sea sand was gonna kill everybody.

Jlaws whole ark made no sense at all. Her fucking power enabled her to be normie and she spent most of movie as normie. Of course she then also got super strenght etc.

Phoenix is absolute poison to the xmen franchise. She's easily the worst character in every film she's appeared in, regardless of actor.

They're selling brand awareness. That's all they're selling. Look at suicide squad, dr.strange or deadpool, you think Fox has any idea what is going on? Shit, i don't. I don't know why all 3 of those movies made money, when I feel like only one, the fox one, was worth seeing....yet they made apocalypses as well. I mean, maybe they'll approach it right? Fox is trying to make unique movies. Apocalypse was a big damn disaster porn movie, new mutants is going horror, DOFP was time travel, deadpool comedy, logan dark western, they are experimenting more than marvel, I'll give them that.

So there is a sliver of hope in me dark phoenix will be a different kind of film. Not much hope, because the franchise is a huge mess. There's no consistency or anything resembling a timeline, but maybe, maybe they'll make a good movie.

Jlaw's role in Apocalypse is greatly reduced compared to DoFP.

Mystique could be removed from the movie entirely and the story would still play out pretty much the same. Fucking Moira MacTaggert has more impact on the plot than she does.
