well they had planned for more seasons but they canned it after season 3, so they had to wrap it up without fleshing out some characters.

this show was all about John Rayburn (Kyle Chandler). while Mendelsohn did an amazing job, he was merely a catalyst. this show is all about John Rayburn and his fight for something he ended up destroying (family).
