Cinematography a lost art?

not a lost art, it just got boring because some people are trying so hard but it is just unoriginal

>a garish, ostentatious shot is an example of good cinematography
lmao pleb
Staging and production design are becoming lost arts. Staging arguably is already completely lost save for old guys like Spielberg. For the rest of them it's walk & talk and closeups with constant cutting.
Cinematography is doing just fine.

Don't be a cunt, we all know that cinema barely exists anymore, it's just digital shit, and it all looks like ass, you fucking piece of shit, stop lying for the profiteers.
"like" economy
Can there be any more breakthroughs in cinematagraphy?
>>83648230
Yes, lots, it depends whether it survives. It won't be happening in commercial films because they want the instant surety of digital, so expect more ass that looks like banking adverts.

>it's not cinematography unless they used film
kill yourself retard

Well with green screen its alot easier to "construct" a shot than to set one up. Why bother finding the perfect symnetry out in nature when you can just cgi a symmetrical backdrop?
