Just rewatched this for the first time since its release. It's a lot better than i remembered.
A few things crossed my mind when watching it.
Jessica Chastain's character says she was recruited to the CIA straight from high school. I was wondering is that is true and how the selection works. Simply grades?
I was also wondering if Bigelow is a spook. What other obvious intelligence funded/sponsored films are there?
Sounds impossible to be recruited by the CIA straight from high school unless her dad was literally the director of the agency.

That's what got me contemplating if the CIA has access to collect intelligence from schools about students.
>>83645259
I also thought they'd potentially use the college enrollment system to identify potential candidates.

Yeah, you get recruited into SIGINT, if youre a god-tier hacker in highschool. HUMINT means you have to be a local for the country the CIA wants to spy on.
Lastly, theres the specialists, which are ivy league educated doctorates.
Will SEAL, Rangers, Delta get recruited to black op CIA stuff too? Bourne style.
Any other essential operator movies?
Just watched Sicario, 13 hours, ZDT and the Jack Ryan movies.

I remember I hadn't watched it back then because the tone felt dull and I wasn't really into thrillers back then... Is it actually good and worth watching?
its all lies

Young Bigelow was a fucking nerd.

All mainstream media is thoroughly controlled by the government, especially the recent rash of "CIA are heroic" products. Literal membership is irrelevant. It's like living in DPRK, except people are much more vocal about not buying this obvious garbage.
>>83645066
The character didnt exist and was a mix of various people and departments, but that doesnt make a compelling drama
there was a redheaded lady (or more) somewhere but not pretty and young

Well worth a watch if you like operator kino.

Outside of making me smitten with chastain. Zero dark thirty was horrible. Its nothing happens the movie. Even the raid scene that was supposed to be super awesome was boring.
>>83647194
It's not an action movie.
The whole point is the slow, tedious effort to gather intel.
The final raid isn't Lone Survivor, it is a step by step clear of a building.
>>83647194
the raid scene is amazing because of the boring build up
when we finally leave chastain and are flying in the choppers in the grey night it becomes a good movie suddenly because it seems like it'll be a real thing with tension. But it ends up not being that great

What did she mean by this?

propaganda pushed by the globalist agenda
