This. Casino Royale is a masterpiece. QoS annoyed me cos it didnt feel like a Bond movie. Skyfall brought back some of the magic and Spectre despite Blofeld being Bond's step brother, did have some good moments but the plane chase and car chase was lackluster.

The train scene was cool even tho it was inspired by From Russia with Love.

I wish Bond escaping Blofeld's base was done better. Too short and quick.

Hopefully movie 5 with Craig if they get the Casino Royale pacing just right, it could be a masterpiece.

Craig IS Bond if you have read the novels. No question about that. A man who has suffered so much pain and loss in his life.

Seems like an unpopular opinion around here but I really like the Craig Bond. He's just so fucking cool it kinda rubs off one me after I watched one of his movies, makes me feel cool just for being a man.
Casino Royale was ok, not as big on it as others here but it was decent, not very rewatchable though.
Quantum of Sollace was really bad, only scene I liked was 007 escaping his own guys in the elevator and then passing by M in the hall and she's like "wtf someone stop this madman"
Skyfall was pretty great, some action scenes were too long but overall pretty good.
Spectre was the same, didn't care for some of the action but really like it overall, great villain too.
I wish we would get a more SoL bond film without the overlong third act where nothing happens and there's just a bunch of action.

Dude, I can tell you what bond 25 will be about right now if you want. It'll essentially be OHMSS with the new cast, and Madeleine instead of Tracey (they are debating having them use aliases in hiding and use that to make her Tracey, but imo it's a stupid ass idea).

Blofeld will be running shit from whatever hole they throw him in (same sort of thing we've seen moffat throw into both Sherlock and Doctor Who where the prisoner is running the prison)

It'll still have the downer ending where she dies and will set up the next one where Bond is out for blood.

They are trying to get the scripts in order so they can film them back-to-back so they can keep Craig and get them done before he looses his shit and says stuff during interviews like cutting his wrists before doing another bond.
