Animation is THE story telling medium. You can invent characters and worlds and make them look exactly how you want. There are no visual limitations like in live action. This (Madoka Magica) should get an adaptation. I don't watch much anime, but my ex had me watch it with her several years ago in one go and it was fucking fantastic.
