>expect something bad to happen to him throughout the whole movie
>he gets away with everything
So this is the power of high functioning autism, god bless.
Why does everybody praise Nightcrawler so much? Seemed like a middle of the road flick to me. What am I missing?
>>83591237
Same. I don't get why it was praised as being so great. I saw it in 2014 though, so I may be forgetting.
>>83591237
Because the movie industry is shit so Nightcrawler shines in comparison.
>>83591237
ok script with some interesting ideas
good performances
good cinematography
>>83591237
I think we autists like it just because it repels feelfag normies
>>83591237
i hated it so much that i walked out of theatre half way through
>>83591959
what did you hate about it?
I watch this movie once every couple of months for a kick of life inspiration
>>83591237
>tfw autists don't find autism interesting
>>83592207
>tfw I have no face for autists that project their autism on characters that aren't autistic
>>83591903
It's like The Player, kinda a 'anti-movie, anti-hero' thing going on. So rarely done that people take notice if it's half way decent. Not too bad of a film.
Think there could be a fantastic take on this though via a different perspective / series of events.

I like LA at Night Kino
He's a psychopath though.
>>83592338
Cool. I don't find LA very interesting, personally.
>>83592371
I perceived him to be more of a narcissistic sociopath, who is driven by self-serving ambition and disregards morality.
>>83592373
LA is G-d awful for living but it makes a good environment for movies.
He is a vampire who lives off the blood of others...
i stopped a few minutes into the movie. should pick it back up.
>>83592403
this
Psychopaths enjoy hurting other people. Lou didn't. He just did what he thought was necessary to get footage.
>>83591237
Based Jakeypoo delivers a great performance.
>>83591237
Not everyone wants a feel good, black and white morality, love and romance safe space movie to retreat to. The main character feels real. This shit feels like it could actually be happening.

>>83592966
that's not true. it's not clearly defined what's the difference between the two but he's more like a psychopath since he doesn't seem to have feelings at all
>>83593742
Psychopaths pick off insect's legs.
Sociopaths put insects to work...if they die? Oh well...
>>83593742
^ He's right you know.

He's a malignant narcissist/sociopath dumdum.

Pretty good basic social commentary

I really liked the end, it showed that the way he carried himself seemed appropriately once he was in a serious boss position

End of watch.
That picture looks kinda like a painting
he's just too lucky throughout the movie
