I completely agree. The very capable, but hard to work with and full of himself "art" actor cast was also appropriate. And the druggie girl fit.
The casting was a good inside joke overall.

I'm pretty sure Keaton has denied any resemblance between himself and Riggan.

Although I'm guessing part of that is related to how he'd be admitting that he's a washed up actor who's only known for being a superhero decades ago.
