Did he die?
I think so.

literally just watched it last night, did not understand the hype was a 6.5/10 for me.
no, he finally gave in to his evil alter ego and went back to being the birdman aka, the raven in spider man
>the whole movie is michael keaton being salty about people remembering him for his most important role
What did he mean by this?

i think the movie is supposed to be an unsolvable puzzle. any explanation you come up with has some piece of evidence that contradicts that.

The script was written before he was cast to play.
He dead.
Yeah.
He's dead and his daughter is crackers

it was a very fitting person to cast though despite that.

I completely agree. The very capable, but hard to work with and full of himself "art" actor cast was also appropriate. And the druggie girl fit.
The casting was a good inside joke overall.

that's probably part of why they cast him
furthermore, that's probably why he tried out for the part at all; it's not a huge stretch for him

I'm pretty sure Keaton has denied any resemblance between himself and Riggan.
Although I'm guessing part of that is related to how he'd be admitting that he's a washed up actor who's only known for being a superhero decades ago.
