Just marathon'd this film finally everyone dies? really?seems

It's decent but the most annoying part of the movie is it's entire point was to explain away the "plot hole" of the Death Stars weakness not realizing it emphasizes the far more obvious plot hole. why didn't they just shoot the escape pod?

It was always a minor plot hole that they didn't shoot it down but rogue one turned it into a stupid mistake that they shouldn't have made, they fucking wiped out an entire town and their own base to destroy the plans, what's a small laser blast to tie up lose ends?

K2 put his mind in the other robot and probably got a ship and the went into hyper drive while within that other planets atmosphere that also got blown up by the death star. they literally warped next to a crumbling mountain. they're alive. K2 saved them.
