This was my favorite episode of season 3 so far. It's Lynch-y but not in the same way as all the red room scenes we've had so far. Well even Inland Empire didn't have all that much out there supernatural stuff. The structure was just all over the place and the magic felt grounded, and that's what this episode felt like. It was supernatural but not so extravagant and it feels more like Lynch's previous stuff since most of his movies were like that, without a lot of CGI.

How is /tv/ enjoying that season so far with 5 episodes ? Is it still TP in your eyes ? Is it good ? Too modern perhaps ?

As for myself, I think this is totally Lynch in so many ways, like a best of, a compilation of all the themes he's been exploring since his beginnings and always using that cryptic surrealism and absurdism to tell his stories.
It definitely is Twin Peaks as pretty much all the cast is back on screen with a few exceptions, their characters haven't much changed, it really feels like a season 3, a continuation of where we left of. We haven't seen much of the town yet but I'm getting that everything feels like it has been suspended in time, a really nice atmosphere.

What I would say is that Frost/Lynch have decided to go against every major current TV shows telling their story in such an odd and particular way that it's like watching a long movie that stretches for hours on end. And I get that sometimes the pace is rather slow, to the point where I imagine that it is trying to test our patience, challenge the modern crowd used to very fast paced action or comedy.
Here, everything lies in the subtetly and the duration of a shot, but the rewards are much more immense.
