The first Raimi Spiderman movie was also kino. Sure it's a bit corny in some places, but I think it adds to the charm. It's the perfect superhero origin movie, and it's still the most financially successful superhero origin 15 years later. None of these British actors pretending to be Americans can ever top Tobey.

Spider-Man 2 is probably the most "comic book" looking movie there is. The setup of the cafe kidnapping is a perfect example of something you'd see in a comic as a page turner; you see Peter notice danger, followed by a full frame image of a car exploding through the glass.
Spider-Man 2 has problems, but Raimi actually tried to emulate the look and fell of comics rather than just make some Hollywood interpretation.

I don't really like doc Oc, but other than that it's a perfect sequel - it doesn't just copypaste the original, it expands on Peter's character, brings more danger etc.

It's a solid film at the end of which you don't feel robbed of your time as in many capeflicks these days.
