I think it's also because Bootsy seems to actually be very good in video games considering his Battletoads video so he was stealing Mike's thunder as being the "good one" relative to James who judging by James & Mike Mondays seems to generally be the worst skilled out of the three.

Mike also asked a question on Twitter about whether anyone had actually managed to beat Super Empire Strikes back on SNES and some people including a guy I know replied about how they in fact did even though it's a really fucking hard game. Mike then promptly deleted his tweet for unknown reasons and soon uploaded a playthrough of the game on Cinemassacre's channel. I guess he wanted to feel good about himself thinking he was pretty much the only one who ever beat it so again people were stealing his thunder.

It was the first channel(in the 10k+ era) to be the most subscribed, its pretty much the basis of all youtube channels nowadays. Most popular youtubers started out "angry reviewing"(which there are still PLENTY of) and have either moved on to bigger things or allowed there channel to grow further.
