Looking back, I feel like this movie was very disingenuous. It had the same atmosphere of Little Miss Sunshine where the entire world improbably wants to help this guy out with his autism, and it downplayed the fact that this guy loves a doll with "It's just his special journey to the ultimate girl of getting his own girl that was always into him but he never noticed." I would imagine most guys who are obsessed with sex dolls don't have girls waiting for them that they just never noticed.
