There were only two Orion women in the original series and Kirk only met one of them, one time.

She performed a seductive dance to seduce Kirk, who she believed would help her escape from a space asylum. Kirk rejected her advances and she immediately attempted to violently murder him. That was the extent of their interaction.

The only other appearance of the "green woman" was in the unaired pilot episode, and it wasn't even real, it was an illusion made to trick Captain Pike.

Shatner's acting gets cheesy when he tries to perform a dramatic scene, but I think it actually adds to the charm of the show instead of detracting from it.

Hes great. I tried watching TOS a few years back. He was the best part of it. Handsom. Strong. Great actor.

I got a few seasons in before jumping off. Some of the episodes really made me think. I liked that... BUT. There were to many filler episodes. Filled with boring bland bullshit. That's what turned me off.

The show holds up though as good scifi. Even today. As long as you excuse the shit tech. The writers were way off on the future of technology, its laughable. The set looks like some cold war submarine shit.

I likeved the eye candy on the show as well. I remember this one slut. Wew lads. I remember a few side roles thst i had to IMDB the episode cast just to search her nudes and most the time they existed in some photoshoot. Shatner must have had a wonderful time swimming in all that pussy.

No. He was separated from his first wife for most of the filming of TOS. His divorce was finalized after TOS wrapped. Shatner was heavily JUST after the divorce, as he was type cast and had trouble finding work. Level of alimony and child support forced him to sell his fucking house and live in his pickup in early 70's. There is reason why Shatner started to appear in utterly shitty low budget movies in early 70's. Basically first time he was financially stable after TOS was in early 80's with TJ Hooker and Trek movies.

I've said it here before and I'll say it again. Avery Brooks was among the best captains because his acting style jived well with what star trek is all about..

Brooks, like Shatner and Stewart had a strong background in theatre and classical stage acting. When you get right down to it, Star Trek owes a lot of influence to the world of theatre. It's thin, kind of unbelievable melodrama with big themes, mostly played out on a three-wall stage, with the audience in front. The only thing that elevates it is strong acting. It's not a naturalistic style of acting, but it's well suited to what Star Trek is.
