Do we like Nolan, /tv/?
He's a pretty good voice actor but he really gets too much work, I think.

He's a big guy.

Plebs hate him because he made capekino and a billion of hacks have been trying to copy him ever since.
His disregard for CGI and preference for practical makes him have a special place within me.
I also like how he dares to dabble in the weird and reach somewhere other directors would never go.

I like him enough. I think he's a competent enough film maker with a couple good movies under his belt. Not amazing, but passable. But I agree when people say his movies are very exposition heavy.

his movies are very entertaining and have great stories (lucid-dreaming industrial thiefs and space travel, I mean come on)
I want to see how he handles something that's not fantastic or sci fi in Dundirk
Yea, he's good tier. Movies are enjoyable.
Not the best ever, but he's good.
Pretty much a hack. Dark Knight movies are all trash. So was Inception. Interstellar was goofy bullshit. His only good one was Insomnia IMO.
Plebs like Nolan because his movies make them feel smart, even though he isn't subtle at all and always tries to make everything obvious, explaining the same shit a dozen times.

He's best when he makes quirky movies about weird characters, with some sort of gimmick or twist. See: Memento, The Prestige. Those are legitimately good movies. But most of his work is mediocre.
