Felt very "Airplane"/"Police Squad" to me. It's really fucking great, and I wish we still got movies with a comedic style like these.

Proved there are still people who enjoy these types of comedies, there ought to be more.

A lot of "classic" movies stuff, especially comedies because the jokes don't hold up.
A lot of classic comedies are shit that would be equivalent to something like Epic Movie or Scary Movie, it's just that they don't work in a modern context.

it either drags certain parts out way too long or practically skips over seemingly important moments like a shitty blacksploitation film from the 70s

its a great comedy even if you don't get the satire, but way better if you do
