Got time for a couple movies tonight and I've never seen any Lynch stuff outside of Twin Peaks and I've been meaning to for a while. What's the most essential Lynch kino /tv/?
The Grandmother
The Alphabet
Eraserhead
Elephant Man
Blue Velvet
Wild At Heart
Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me
Lost Highway
Wild At Heart
Mulholland Drive
Rabbits
Inland Empire

Nothing, he's a hack.
>>83520600
Isn't that pretty much everything?
>>83520745
No Straight Story
>>83520600
I mean yeah see all of these,
but since you only have a time for a couple tonight, do Blue Velvet and Mulholland Dr.

To start off I think Eraser Head, Blue Velvet or Wild At Heart are a good place to begin.

>The Grandmother
>The Alphabet
>Rabbits
Trying way too hard. I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't seen any of his shorts.

Start with Blue Velvet
>>83521594
Wild at Heart would be kind of a weak start desu

Rabbits was the first thing I saw by Lynch.
The Cleveland Show is the only remotely watchable thing he's ever done
Blue Velvet
Lost Highway
Mulholland Drive
Then you can watch Inland Empire later and the rest of his stuff after that.

Mulholland Drive is easily Lynch's crowning achievement
its pretty much just an absolute masterpiece

But Blue Velvet is better

Birth of a Nation

Pretty much agree with this.
If you really like the mystery of Mulholland Drive follow it up with Lost Highway. Those are my 2 favorite Lynch films.

Before Texas it is Lynch's best work.
I'm glad he made The Straight Story, FWWM and Lost Highway are full of 90s edginess
