In this world, 98% of the population got a power, named quirk.
The 2nd ranked hero got a massive hard-on to the first one and, since it's obvious he's leagues behind wanted to at least have a son that would be able to surpass him.
Basically his father used his connections to marry his wife and forced himself on her to try to have a kid that would have both of their quirks, wich is pretty rare. After like 5 kids he got one, Shouto. But the mother finally snapped and hurt her son pretty badly before ending in a special need house.
Shouto have been using nothing but his mom's power since.

It's handed nicely, and while Shouto starts as an edgelord, he warms up pretty quickly and ends up being a pretty nice, helpful kid.

The first season started off strong, hobo Might is top design aesthetic and the characters were likable enough, couldn't really care about the overarching plot with the villains though.

Second season started off bad and it only got worse; out of the 120 minutes I watched, a full fucking 40 were spent emphasizing and explaining the fucking tournament when it could have been done in a single minute tops (lol it's important go win), and then to add to that, 20 minutes of fucking flashbacks as if I have the memory of a fucking goldfish. The DJ presenter didn't help either and I can't fathom anyone over the age of 11 liking that sort of shit. Well it's about people learning to be heroes. It's a world where heroes are more concerned with their public image. The main character balances this burning desire to be number 1 with actually showing others what standing up for truth and justice looks like. The latter isn't so much an active goal of his so much as it is a natural product of his interactions with others.

A person could appreciate a single run or elseworld while disregarding everything else.
For example, I found Tom King's The Vision to be superb and I actually grew invested in the plot but I disregarded everything that happened to the character Viv in Champions after the run (because Waid couldn't understand her character development and characterization).
However, my enjoyment of what King made isn't tainted by what Waid soiled.
