Didnt have high expectations - as a drawn out atmospheric music video it's kind of enjoyable. Saw it one night on a largescreen while staying in a mountain lodge, had spooky dreams afterwards.

I was expecting more of a band at the end though, something more drawn out and graphically intense. For this particular movie, which just builds and builds, it needed more.

Regarding the scene in the modelling agency office where the woman tells Elle that she's gorgeous.and going to be a star.
I really wanted the woman to say "Go back to the sticks honey. You might be the prettiest girl in Mudville, but you're nothing special here."

Elle looks so average, that I couldn't take the notion of her being some transcendent beauty seriously.
All the talk of "natural beauty" felt like a cover for not being able to find a better looking actress.
You could have gone into any class room in my high school and found 3 girls prettier and 10 on her level.

Maybe they just wanted an actress with a recognizable name and they couldn't afford Dakota.

I liked the visuals and Keanu.
Thin plot otherwise.

I went to school for graphic design and the school also had a department for fashion design, and it's where all the pretty girls would flock to.

It was pretty crazy; 90% of the girls were at least 7/10, and there were definitely a good bit of 8/10's and shit. So Elle's aplenty basically.

I wouldn't say that's an average situation, but I can't imagine a girl like Elle being a transcendental beauty in a place like L.A. when my shitty school's fashion department was filled with Elle's and above.
