iktf m8, I've got around 10TBs of audio, video, and software stored on HDDs. Initially, I was only really interested in storing audio files (music, audiobooks, speaches, ect.) because of how much space video required, relatively speaking. But as storage capacity grew, the amount of space required to store the videos I wanted at a quality that I found acceptable became relatively smaller. I'm not really into the whole 4K stuff or whatever it is the people do these days to get massive file sizes, so unless something new comes along, I'm just going to be able to keep storing more and more media. Maybe its because I'm too old and grew up on shitty pirated vhs tapes, but there is no difference to me in the quality of anything past 1080, and little to no difference between 720 and 1080.

However, for the last year or so, I haven't pirated a single game. This is coming from a guy who had been pirating games for over two decades. I buy a lot of games through Steam, even though I don't do any of the social stuff (my account is private and I don't add any friends to the account). Actually having some money to spend and the convenience has actually worked for me. I don't think it'll ever happen for audio or video though, and the moment I don't have any money to spend, I'd go back to pirating games as well I suppose.

Nothing new that got a wide release. I see everything I have the tiniest desire to see in theaters. I pirate old shit or shit that hasn't made it to my local theaters all the time. Same thing with tv shows. I'll watch it on TV but I want a copy on my computer too, so I'll download it. I buy new releases from bands I trust. Otherwise I'll listen to an album on spotify. If I like it I'll download their discography and pay for 10-20% of the albums.

Yes, for movies it's primarily older stuff I haven't seen or haven't seen in a looong time, very little of what is coming out today interest me.

As for tv, I basically watch 4-5 series per year at most, probably less this year since I dropped Fargo (season 2>1>>>>>>>>>>3), dropped Amercian Gods after 3 episodes, Twin Peaks is still promising though, will see the last season of GoT although it's no longer particularly good, and I will also watch Stranger Things season 2 for those 80's vibes.
