To be entirely fair, the concept of a film that actually covers a huge battle that was only skimmed over in the book is actually pretty exciting. The problem is that Peter Jackson somehow managed to fuck up this awesome idea. Shit like random ass worms that appear for two seconds and do nothing. Just another "disappointing third movie."

The movie version of the Bot5A had so much bizarre content that it was hard to follow. Much of its problems probably stemmed from having to tie up all of the Hobbit trilogy's bloated story lines

I don't mind this stuff, we needed more of the dwarves, and comical scenes like this fit the tone of the hobbit book. What ruined it for me was fucking alfred showing his faggot face every 10 seconds with some stupid quip and that cringey as fuck elf-dwarf relationship. terrible dialogue, phillipa boyens is mostly to blame for all of these things.
