There is some validity. The score aggregation skews movies quite a bit. Baywatch has an average of 4.1/10 but 20% score which imo half of what the real average is is too aggressive. Wonder Woman is 7.6/10 with 94% that much up is also a misrepresentation. The disparity of scores of critics and audiences is also crazy on most movies. While I understand some movies have more people who like it rating that people who disliked it. All in all critics are out of touch and elitist

Sure, 1/10 people like the cake and you could easily fall into that minority. But if you're on the fence or have been burned by deceptive cakes before the opinions of those 9 people may help inform your decision.
It also works the other way, if you're unsure about the quality of a cake and have been burned before but 9/10 people say its great one would be more likely to give that cake a shot.


Jack and Jill's 3% on rotten tomatoes doesn't mean everyone hated it, it means 3 out of 107 reviewers polled thought it was good and I'm sure there is an audience who saw that movie who agree with the 3%.

I don't get it. Every single normie I've ever spoken to about an upcoming movie has made their decision as soon as they see a trailer or even hear the name and scoff at the mention of critic reviews.

RT is shit, because people look at the RT score and think that it's the score of a movie, whenever it's actually just the percentage of critics who "liked" it. Metacritic is better, because it gives the average numeral percentage that the film was given by critics. RTs system is how shit films like Ghostbusters (certified fresh 73% on RT, 60 on metacritic) Deadpool (83 on RT, 65 on metacritic), Hidden Figures (93 RT, 74 Metacritic) get the reputation for being critically acclaimed even if critics didn't actually like the movie very much. It'll be the same with Wonder Woman. It looks like complete shit, and couldn't even get an 8 or higher on fucking IGN, but the IGN review still counted as "fresh" because it wasn't a 5 or lower. It'll have around a 70 on metacritic, and a 94 on rotten tomatoes retarded system.

If they want better reviews they should go an make better movies. Not saying that sometimes critics don't get it wrong but the times where a bad movie was called a bad movie far outweigh the times where a good movie was unfairly bashed.
