ITT: POWERFUL final scenes, STINGING codas that stay with you.
They don't have to be violent like this, but they should be the last sixty seconds or so. And they should leave a big impression.
When you think "this film's final scene", you should be able to immediatley see the still(s) in your mind's eye, and imagine context.
Let me suggest that Kill Bill V. 1 is an example.

terminator 3, you think they are going to shut down skynet, then its just an old bomb shelter and the world gets nuked. the movie itself may have been not very good, but that ending was excellent

I honestly never watched it because I assumed it was garbage.
My rationale was that movies that only have 1 Sequel tend to not be very good, you know since they would have made a third movie usually.
Thanks for mentioning it, will check it out.

he booked it the fuck out of there. if you can't kill a black person in a horror movie on the first try, they are gone with the wind. he also technically committed a felony hit and run on somebody so in accordance with the times and considering the location, he would likely have been imprisoned for life.

Nope, burgerman here.
It's just an objectively great closer that encapsulates the whole tone of the film, having raised things into total madness.
The "dawn" pallette also immediately recalls the orange-whites of the opening as well, and is juxtaposed with the blue-blacks of night, which dominate the middle part.

I like the ending, and I get he's flinging it around in frustration, but those ballerina twirls irked me.
Who does ballerina twirls because they're mad?

i can usually forgive a bad movie if the ending is well done or satisfying. that way it leaves a good taste in my mouth
Any movie from the Depression Trilogy. But the ending to this one in particular fucked me up... I've literally never felt such a profound effect from a movie. I just sat there in the dark for 5 minutes contemplating. Since then it's been one of my favorites.
