The early seasons of Seinfeld were often inspired and writen by him. But half way through he ran out of stuff. So the normal writing for an episode was

>if they like it they would write the draft together
>larry wrote more than jerry
>writers would together add to it
>whoever came up with the story got the writers credit

Spike Feresten told the story about the soup nazi and got the credit and emmy, but Larry did most of the work.
