Very true, I just don't understand all the love and sympathy for Sy in these threads I guess, usually I at least understand the reasoning behind people's interest in characters but to my Sy is basically just a watered down version of Wormtongue from LOTR. Two thoughts about the latest episode. One: It was a nice visual metaphor for Sy to spot Varga leering from the upper window of Emmit's house as a way to symbolize just how far Varga has gotten into Emmit's head.
Two: (returning character spoiler) Wrench's deafness seems like it might insulate him from Varga, Yuri, and all the other antagonists this season that rely on their audible words to sway and coerce others. They won't be able to talk their way out of a potential confrontation with him

Best episode so far. I was on the fence about this season, but it just had a lot more slow-boil than the last two.
They can't just have Mr. Wrench without him doing something though, my bet is that he'll save MEW (and die trying) when he sees the Wolf-headed russian (which would remind him of Malvo.)
Meanwhile, not-Ray is going to die like a fucking dog, but not before pulling Varga down with him.
