thoughts on this? how does it compare to other ghbilis

I wanted to watch it but the trailer looked pretty gay so I didnt

it was a a dream past the point he killed the turtle

visuals were nice if a little drab for a ghibli, storywise was shithouse. fuck all happens, there's no dialogue to keep things rolling, it should have been half an hour shorter (at least)

I haven't watched it yet, however, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya which shares some of the people working on it was pretty incredible and honestly had more emotional impact than all the other regular "Miyazaki Ghibli" films

I watched it in a cinema. It's basically a animated fairy tale. The story is very simple and the visuals are pleasing if a bit gray. Should have been a bit shorter.

Ghibli only helped in animation, it's clearly a French director's work. I liked the survivalist aspect, but as a whole thought it was one note in its symbolism. Wasn't big on Father & Daughter either.
