I don't get it.
I thought it was going to be like Blow Out, but instead it was meaningless garbage
Mullholland Drive of the 60s
It's shit. I remember in college my friend at the time showed it to me. When it ended he asked my thoughts and I knew we could no longer be friends.

Social alienation, as with all of Antonioni's movies. You're probably just too young/(still) too ignorant about film. I had the same reaction, give it a rewatch in a couple of years.
This is one sexy movie. I remember watching this on TCM all the time.

>I don't get it.
Arguably one of the all time worst movies ever made.
The only good part is seeing a young Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page jamming on stage.

one of the first movies to show tits and orgies in it.
Now you know the secret to its success.
It's an indictment of Swinging London

Beautiful film. I don't know why it usually triggers /tv/ so hard.

there's barely any fucking swinging in it! i hate how it's still sold as arthouse austin powers, even though it was probably necessary at the time

I really didn't think much of when I saw it but after seeing other movies by the same guy I like his works now.
What's Antonioni's signature? Which of his films exemplifies his idiosyncracies?
i remember watching this when i was like 15/16, expecting a fun wild thriller romp and being mightily disappointed
yet few movies linger in my mind like this one, even though it must've been ten years since i saw it. it's weird

it's a postmodern film, you won't understand unless you're familiar with postmodernism
