10 years ago I would have said no, but after horrendous blockbuster after horrendous blockbuster I'm now tempted to say yes - Austin Powers is a comedy that actually takes some risks and is funny. It's legitimately more entertaining, better plotted and fuck, despite being an absurd comedy in some ways even more realistic than the average Hollywood blockbuster of today. So my verdict is yes, in the context of modern Hollywood it actually is kino.

This is one of the more defining characters for millennials. I was 10 and thought Austin Powers and Dr. Evil were gut wrenching.
>that scene in the bathroom with the Irish Assassin
>"Who does #2 work for?"
>"Yea you show that turd who's boss!"
It was funny because I was 10. If Gen X'ers liked it it's because their faggots
what a classic.
they don't make spoof movies like they used to.
It all went downhill when those teen movies started pumping them out every season.
First two were great, captures the absurdity of the 60s and a great twist to the spy films of the time.
"Random task"
"Odd job"
Its all about the little things that make the film great. Goldmember was horrendous and we couldve done without that.
