It very much is, if the alternative is that Mike purposefully refused to help out Cooper, even after actively seeking contact to help him stop Bob, this makes more sense in the light of a continuity error.
I can't even begin to comprehend a possible explanation if it isn't one, that Mike is not really trying to Cooper is also a ridiculous explanation, it contradicts why he would begin Cooper at all.

This might be a stretch but I was thinking last night about the one-armed man and I remembered something. In the dream vision of Cooper the one-armed man says he had a tattoo of "fire walk with me", but when the sheriff, cooper, and andy actually confront him for the first time, they ask him if the arm that he lost had a tattoo, at which point he breaks down crying, telling them it had one that said "mom".

That's when I noticed that, the symbol on the ring and multiple other places, if turned upside down sort of looks like the word "mom" with the letters overlapping on certain lines.

I don't know if this means anything, but I just thought it seemed neat and wanted to share it.
