I met Bob Hope at a book signing with my dad and grandpa. They had both seen him in the USO.

It was a couple years before he died, so he was probably in his late 80s and looked pretty exhausted. But he made a joke that he's still be entertaining the troops when I was in the service. He died before I enlisted though.
