These videos are shit. It's just Jim reading a fucking encyclopedia dramatica article about shit that hasn't been relevant in years and every once and a while including a screenshot or video clip. There's zero effort put into them, and they're not funny.

Compare it to someone like Internet Historian, who is essentially doing the same thing (talking about old internet crap nobody should care about), but his videos are much more interesting because it's more than just him droning on over a static image. There's actual effort put into the production of those videos, it very clearly shows, and it makes for an infinitely more entertaining watch. He usually tries to add something new to the topic, like doing his own math in the Dashcon vid, or how he gives a different perspective on the Balloon Boy story backed by research he did. Even if you don't agree with his numbers or the new take he had on the Balloon Boy story, it still was something new and something different, something you really hadn't heard by every other asshole who already talked about this crap when it was at one point kind of relevant. Internet Historian also keeps his videos short and to the point, whereas these videos just drone on and on at a snail's pace. Jim is saying he needs a fucking hour to talk about Linkara. Really? A fucking hour? Jesus Christ, Jim.

He hooked up with ThatGuyWithTheGlasses during his prime (about 2009) and their autism rubbed off on him. He also let his ego get out of hand and started alienating people.

At this point he gets diagnosed with bipolar disorder or something.

His then-girlfriend left him and by 2012 he made a rape/BDSM joke on twitter. A girl on TGWTG called him out on it and the resulting shitstorm got him fired.

He looked like he was back to doing his own thing so he started a Patreon. At one point he got about $5000 a month in donations.

Turns out he's actually doing fuckall and people get pissed, saying that he's not worth the 5 grand he's getting. So he bans and blocks people.

Now all his projects are completely dead save for his endless twitter rants about Trump. He still makes about $740 a month on Patreon but fuck knows what else he's doing.

A few months later he comes back with a patreon and an actual schedule he adheres to, which is very unlike him, obviously he lost his job (or maybe he can't work anymore because he has also mentioned something about being ill) and is forcing himself to put out generic content just to get by every month. Jim is one of the only YouTubers I respect because he's genuine and down-to-earth, so I'll keep supporting him.
