If you knew that then why are you crying and peeing yourself?

pirate one out of the dumpster at papa johns or little caesars for me
>>
how is this the same argument if the pizza is physical, pirating involves copies of the original. So in order for this to make sense, you'd have to have copies of pizza pies, and the original still exists to be sold

The point is piracy is theft, so stealing this pizza is piracy.

Just as kidnapping this kid is stealing this kid is pirating this kid.
>>
Piracy is morally wrong, please don't post obviously false analogies to discredit this position OP.

Hey, I still pirate. But why bullshit? You know that copying intellectual property is a form of theft. It deprives the owners of sales that otherwise might have been made.

Piracy doesn't apply to things like this. Piracy is theft, but that doesn't mean theft is piracy. This is not a difficult concept to grasp. Pirating pizza would involve making a copy of it (not cooking another pizza, that is just more production) and taking it without paying for it.
>>
>>83260827
Watching movies with your friends and family that didn't pay for it is also morally wrong then.
Checkmate.
>>
>>83260976
I'm not implying that I would, all of the time. But if piracy wasn't available I'm sure there are movies I would have spent money on rather than just pirate them. Off the top of my head, Fury Road, Gone Girl and The Force Awakens are three movies I've seen multiple times since their intitial release, but I watched them by pirating. If the option wasn't available I probably would have bought them.

If that's the case for even a single movie, by even a single person, then piracy must be wrong because it deprived the owners of intellectual property of a sale they would have made but for piracy.
>>
I pay for a PSVue subscription and then I torrent my shit anyway

So I'm paying for it but I hate commercials and it's just easier to torrent them. Best of both worlds.
>>
>>83261042
You're not giving them extra copies of it that weren't paid for.
>>
>>83261057

>>
>order a pizza
>tell them something is wrong
>pizza is remade for you
>go home and eat pizza
>first pizza sits on a heating rack for a couple hours ending up in a dumpster
>go back and get your other pizza

is this a form of piracy?
>>
>>83261078
You gotta buy a blu ray to rip it.
You can't keep movies you're streaming either.
>>
>>83260805
But the point for the pizza/kid can't be the same as movies if they don't have the same results

Theft leads to mass depletion, piracy doesn't.
People who pirate aren't likely to pay for any of it if piracy didn't exist
>>
>>83261042
Incorrect, because what makes piracy wrong is the sale prevention. It will never be the case that there's a movie or album you otherwise would have purchased, but you knew that a friend of yours would play that movie or music for you freely at one point in the future.

Additionally, the owners consent to the private exhibition of films in making the sale, so they do so with the permission of the owners of the IP.

And only a few people do. The rest download the copies of it. It's just stupid and people do it either because they're poor or they're greedy. Those are the only 2 reasons people pirate.

Well in that case
>kidnap child
>do what you want with it
>let the child go free to find his way home
>the child was never depleted, therefore it's piracy

checkmate'd
>>
>buy a pizza and pay for it
>tell the guy my friends want a pizza just like mine too
>he makes ten more pizzas for me
>walk out without paying because I already paid for the first and they're all the same
Piratefags will defend this.
>>
>>83261139
>People who pirate aren't likely to pay for any of it if piracy didn't exist
I don't think this is a plausible proposition, specifically the "any" part. It would be more accurate to say "people who pirate aren't likely to pay for most of it if piracy didn't exist". I'm sure there are movie purchases you would have made if piracy didn't exist, unless you're not a fan of movies at all.
>>
>>83261249

>>
>>83261249
Stop saying checkmate when it obviously ain't

Now that the child is gone, there's permanent mental damage or parents are scared shitless + bunch of state fees for search

Piracy will lead to minor sales loss, but nothing up to scale of what that actual real depletion would've

Also taking something and giving it back when you are done isn't even close to what piracy actually is
>>
>>83261302
that isn't the same as pirating because pirating does not cost the producer time and resources such as making 10 pizzas. fucking jew
>>
>Anne Erin shows up

It's a mutual exchange, the parents for the time being don't have to pay for the child's food, shelter, clothing, or bathing needs.

It evens out.

>>
>>83261415
But paying for all of those things will usually take weeks and months to be significant in comparison to sales loss

If you are saying holding a child hostage for months before release is justified in terms of piracy, you are wrong.
The effects are much larger, and what you described are, in fact by definition, kidnapping, not piracy
>>
>>83261539
When parents have a children they are indirectly consenting the possibility of the child getting kidnapped.
