After not really enjoying the first 4 episodes, this latter half of the series has been some of my favourite Who ever.

Loved this weeks episode, for me Peter Harness has actually redeemed himself. Although not sure how much Moffat has a say in these sort of episodes where he's co-writer.

Single most annoying thing about the last two episodes:

Sim-Doctor was still blind, but his glasses recorded everything and that file was send to the real Doctor. Now, instead of showing it to Nardole like a blind person would, he watches it himself somehow as evidenced by Nardoles line this ep saying something like "they're just like you described them". But the predator vision the Doctor uses doesn't show lifeforms, so he must've watched a plain old recording. This means he can beam video straight to his brain, so WHY IN THE SHIT ISN'T HE JUST BEAMING UNADULTERATED HD VIDEO LIVE TO HIS BRAIN.

I don't think it removed it. They were talking about a planet in which there was no humans and no other type of life (plants, animals, etc). Of course there are none of those in the moon so he could be talking about that, but also remember Kill the Moon takes place in the near future so telling any of the present company the truth about the moon could make it so that the whole conflict would not happen. Maybe he was only protecting the secret. Or Moffat has a terrible memory and just forgot.

The thing that makes the Corpsey Monks different from all the other aliens that have taken over the world and underestimated the Doctor is that they ran a simulation first. The simulation thing should mean that they're one step ahead of the doctor at all times. The Doctor will win by doing something ether so random they'd not have run a sim for it or he'll break their big computer. The simulation thingy will be so important they needed an episode to estabish it.

The bad guys are stopped and Capaldi and Bill are just relaxing eating ice cream, with no immediate threat to cause the regeneration. Then suddenly the Doctor's starts writhing in pain while his regeneration commences. However Moffat threw that away with the simulation twist. It could just be to explain why the Doctor doesn't use this magic healing device all of the time. The potentially disastrous hidden cost prevents characters from using it trivially to deal with all problems.
