You faggots are a bunch of blind followers of Lynch who won't accept that "Twin Peaks: The Return" is a total disaster. This is the final proof that rebooting old series is a really *really* bad idea, since not even Lynch can do it right.
TPTR is not Twin Peaks: it's a bland, sad, and pathetic attempt of self-celebration in the form of an artificial continuation of an unfinished old work. So old that you, the creator, can't even remember correctly. Ironically, at a metalanguage level, the topics of this reboot perfectly reflect what reboots per se are: concretely, a doppelganger, product of a creative void. It's not Cooper who is lost here, it's David Lynch himself. Maybe this is his unconscientious talking...
I will tell you one thing, /tv/: after watching the first episode I was actually deceived for a moment, as I thought it was going to be great; maybe it was going to be more in the direction of FWWM, but I was OK with that. But then, after episode two I started to realize what was really going on here. At episode three, I started to cry and almost turned off my TV, as I finally understood what was happening here: it was the dead of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.
If it was Lynch's subconscious/unconscious running the show we would get another Inland Empire.
I think the new show is great, I enjoy the narrative mixed with Lynch's more experimental vignettes. I didn't watch the original series so I didn't have any preconceived ideas of what it'd be
Why was there a green colored bum in a jail cell that disappeared and turned into a floating head?

This reboot had to be dark, considering how the original ended with bob in cooper. It couldn't have been the goofy over the top type show that the original was. That being said I'm still not sure how I feel about it so far.

>mfw not a single RLM fanboy KEK has successfully refuted this "review," especially not the last paragraph.

You completely misunderstood OP.
It's the subconscious affecting the normal creative process, tilting it to something that you don't realize yourself. And although Inland Empire was written without a script, the scenes aren't all just streamed out of the subconscious.

I mean if you were a proper stan you could see this in the same way as you could see MGS V, an anti-entertainment concept piece
>holy shit this is deep, the player feels phantom pain of an entire episode of the game missing

I really don't get all the hate against people who like this show. Many, I'm sure, like myself, enjoy it simply because it's just fun and interesting to watch. You can try to disect all of the meaning but if you don't want to do that you can just enjoy whatever craziness is coming up next.
1. The red room has been in every episode so far
2. The casino sequence is retarded
3. wtf is almost every twin peaks police officer is over 65 this is just weird
4. acting is awkward sometimes
5. twin peaks taking place all over the usa, the green suit, coop in multiple forms isn't complex surrealism that I'm "to pleb to get" it's jumping the shark
Genuinely enjoying it far more than I ever did the original series.
All the boring non-characters are gone, and there were a lot of them: Josie, Ed, Donna, Norma, Shelly, Hank, Truman, along with their boring normie stories that had nothing to do with anything. The shitty edgy Bobby and James are nothing more than one-off jokes now.
The scenes are more drawn and minimalist, as it always should have been. And despite the pace, the plot is actually moving along properly, with plenty of meaningless bu totally great extra scenes.
