Walter is one of most likable character's Assbender has played, too bad writing made David into a gary stu

I have a better idea:
A completely new crew is sent on a seemingly unrelated mission. Things seem to be going well for them, but it turns out that Weyland-Yutani had a hand in it and the true mission has something to do with aliens. The crew encounters a "completely new and original" variant of the xenomorph. Characters make questionable decisions and are killed off one by one. Some scrappy scientist manages to get the upper hand at the last minute and "win".

David, Walter, or some other character from a previous film may make an appearance.

Why not just get walter to solo the xeno with his superman strength.

I really liked Alien Covenant so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about but I want the 3rd one to secretly take place AFTER Alien/Aliens and have Ripley vs David. They can explain the pre-alien stuff in a prologue.

They'll go back to the original idea, the Xeno will be feral at first and go on a murder rampage only to eventually reach it's adult stage and begin talking and showing an interest in peaceful discourse.

Then the female lead will snarl and kill it before a discussion can be reached - just like the ending of The Thing remake.
