Why was Scrubs so good?

It got really terrible starting around season 4.

But it's a great show to put on for a chick you're trying to fuck.

JD is annoying and weak. Turk and Cox, too. The women are bitchy and stupid. Generaly speaking, the women act like tough men and the guys act like pussified faggots. The show is disgusting and the humor is very light and mild. It's a gay ass show for gay people and I fucking hate it. Don't waste your time and watch this atrocious show.

It was really comfy but a lot of the jokes weren't really that funny and some of the characters were basically just walking memes. Some of the emotional moments were really hokey aswell. I have a nostalgia for it and still rewatch it every now and then but its really not amazing or anything.

It's awful people comedy, but in a hospital.

The show went bad when they decided to start having houses, relationships, and children.

Seinfeld and Always Sunny never grow the characters or try to normalize them. They are always just awful people. you can't have an awful people comedy and then have them get married and kids.

if you want awful people with a family. you have to start them with a family, like Malcom in the Middle.

Season 1 is the only good season since JD is much more serious and terrified.

you never wouldve had Jordan, any of the feels episodes, the finale, cox's collapse, or Kelso's retirement

plus janitor's best moments came after they made him a permanent character

The show could never nail down a tone. The serious bits felt too jarring because the rest of the episode was nearly 'Tim and Eric' territory. It's alright to have those kinds of changes in tone but you can't do it over the course of a 30 minute episode; the arcs needed to last longer.

This, some of the feely moments hold up but the humor has been run into the ground by other contemporary sitcoms.

Just go and watch an episode from season 5 and then an episode from season 1 or 2. The characters have turned into clichees of themselves. The janitor is just mean and pulling jokes. Cox is just angry. JD is just weird.

Molestation allegations aside, yes, this is very true. The characters were, to use a word from the Elemental Plane of Autism (tv tropes), flanderized. They becam fast a self parody.
The last series AT LEAST manage to give the whole thing a closure. Still too much stuff is just dragged, see JD and Elliot.
Still I liked the humour and many characters, all considered I remember it fondly.
