I think it tried to combine some aspects of awkward French artsy humor with Joss Whedon quips and the result is as disjointed as it seems.

Jeunet could not even speak English when he was directing the movie, so of course he couldn't tell that lines like YOU WILL FIND THAT I AM NOT A MAN WITH WHOM TO FUCK are awkward, stupid, and hilariously dumb.

My favorite running gag is everyone and everything sticking their fingers into Winona Ryder. Everyone finger-fucks her. Sigourney does. Ron Perlman and the cripple do. The alien hybrid finger fucks her as well. Very symbolic, Jeunet. Really got me thinking...

I would have though that Alien3 was the real "kino" here, since it is a shitty movie made by a well-loved director so that anons can say that plebs don't like its "bold" directions like making the entire cast look and dress the same, or having the same chase scene play out three times in a row.
