Hugh Jackman playing Logan for more than a decade now either comically or seriously, was a literal god in the x-men universe. To watch him slowly become mortal and die was an amazing experience. Despite the subject matter, despite the gore, the innocent deaths, the inevitability of the end the film still managed to keep itself from becoming a grimdark, broody edgathon.

I love dark movies but this was just over the top to the point of being annoying. Like look at the xmen movies which are kind of happy with happy ending, like in the last one logan was a professor and shit.
