I got out of federal prison on gun/drug charges earlier this year and started catching up on movies again now that Im out of the halfway home. What should I watch? I love action movies, especially ones with a shit ton of fun violence in them. I recently saw John Wick 2 and Logan. I'm also watching the new season of Twin peaks. I never finished the Sopranos or started The Wire or Shield. What should I watch?

You're gonna love the wire violence wise, it's also a damn good piece of television.

The Wire is worth your time. The Shield too. Mad Max and Hardcore Henry are good recommendations. If you've never seen The Raid or The Raid 2 check those out as well. I think at least the first one was out in the states before you went inside though. They're also subtitled so bear that in mind.
Less on the fun side but I'd also check out Sicario.

I actually saw Sicario in prison when I got transferred to a lower security level. Very good film.

The only thing you should see is a bright flash in front of your eyes as your shotgun goes off in your mouth. FUCKING SCUM
FUCKING RAPIST
FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK YOU CRIMINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another subtitled one but check out 13 Assassins. Best sword fight sequence I've ever seen. It came out in 2011 so maybe you've seen it already, but if not watch it.

Banshee.
I am still unsure if I'd call the violence in that show fun. I lean towards yes.
Incredibly brutal show.

It's a prison sentence, not your toddler.

Huh

Nothing crazy honestly. Shits kinda boring. I was in medium and minimum security. Everyone I was with was there on drug charges. The craziest thing I saw was a fight where one guy got put in a coma.
County jail was crazier.
