I got through three episodes last night. That was difficult. Think this will have the quirkiness and off-beat humor of the original series? Don't. You'll be disappointed. Half the time (actually more) this feels like a new Lynch project, NOT a continuation of TP. And then when it does go back to TP territory, it feels forced. In Episode 2, much of the dialogue is identical to that which was spoken in season 2, except now 'the arm' isn't a dwarf, but rather a really cheesy CGI talking tree. Ugh. There isn't even a coherent plot, all 3 episodes feel like different shows. I knew it couldn't be the same as it was, but I expected way more than this. I will continue watching it, but if it doesn't pick up or start making sense, I'm going to bail. I don't need another Lost, where there are always JUST questions and rarely answers. A major disappointment.

Jacoby is putting together some kind of artistic composition. It looks bizarre when you watch him at work. In its incomplete state it is impossible to make sense of it (Golden shovels? Why?). Lynch will periodically show us elements of the work in progress and only later show all those elements assembled in their final form. These Jacoby scenes are going to be a kind of guide for understanding season three and a reminder that it's ok if not everything has come clear because not all the missing pieces have been revealed yet.
