The answer is that it's just slow paced shit that plebs confuse for haute couture. Stop watching it.

This show really is slow as shit

Slow pacing is good if it suits a purpose but this is just plain boring. Saul was easily one of the best characters in Breaking Bad but he is easily one of the worst characters in Better Call Saul because all he does is fuck up, lie and then fuck up some more. No progress, only fucking up to bore the audience to death. I have been waiting for something to happen for two and a half seasons and still this is disappointing as shit.

>>83134676
Chuck will not get disbarred. But what will happen is his malpractice insurance will become astronomical due to the insurance adjusters finding proof of extreme mental illness.

This will put HHM in a position where they either must fire chuck and cash him out as a partner or mandate that he needs to seek mental health counseling.

It puts HHM in a position where they can longer just appease Chuck by just keeping him on extented medical leave. They likely have to cut ties with him.

>>
>>83135214
Same here
>>
>>83135214
Insurance that covers Jimmy if he fucks up so a client sues. I presume similar to a doctor's insurance.
He's already paid for 12 months but since he's no longer practising he wants his money back. It will go up by 150% because it would appear he is more likely to get sued/get in trouble than other lawyers.
>>
>>83134080
Ummm actually they will have a second work scene half a season later where he will be able to find a better hammer to do the job and we will all pretend it's a smart metaphor.
>>
>>83135214

I torrent the episode and while watching I browse /tv/ (especially when boring segment happens like insurance bullshit)

>>
>>83135214
http://www.americanbar.org/portals/solo_lawyers/going_solo/malpractice_insurance.html

jimmy paid for the insurance for an entire year of malpractice insurance, but that was before he was suspended for an entire year
so now he paid for something that he is not going to be using, since he won't be practicing as a lawyer

tl;dr he paid for something for an entire year, won't end up using it, tried to get his money back

jimmy explained this once on the phone and once in front of the lady he started crying in front of, as well.
>>
>>83134080
I dad loves this series and just told me today it keeps getting better and better.
>>
>>83135214
Not an american here but from how I understood it, it's an insurance against being sued your ass off by your clients. By getting himself suspended, he has shown himself to be shadier than the average lawyer and therefore the statistical likelyhood of him doing shady shit that could get him sued in the future increases.

Badger's first showing with Saul is in BrBa so it is almost unlikely he will show up. However Skinny Pete did say he was in the can with Tuco prior to BrBa. Maybe he and Badger are cruising and get pinched but Badger manages to escape while Skinny gets caught holding or something minor. Anyone remember how long Skinny Pete served time?
>>
>>83136316
I don't think it matters what was said in BrBa since they're retconning the shit out of the Saul Goodman character for this show

What's the worst thing the insurance people could do to Chuck after hearing Jimmy's story? Raise his rates? Suggest disbarment?
>>
>>83136400
>>83136458
Recently rewatched some BrBa episodes and there were some things I noticed that went kind of against what has been said/happening in BCS

I don't remember anything besides Saul saying something about how many times he's been married
I guess you could say was just a lie, like when Gus talked about his children in BrBa when later it became apparent he doesn't have a family, but it just feels like they forgot about those lines
>>
>>83136485
Chuck is co-founder of HHM. His rates go up, the entire firm's goes up.
>>
>>83136518
>I don't remember anything besides Saul saying something about how many times he's been married
How many times has be been married? Because we know in BCS it's been at least once.
>>
>>83134174
This
>>
>>83136721
I think he talked about his third wife in the BrBa episode I saw

Is there time in BCS for him to marry twice before BrBa starts?
>>
>>83136923
He could have been married once. When he talks about the Chicago Sunroof he only says "my ex-wife", he didn't give any more details.
>>
>>83135831
That scene felt like artificial canned emotion
Why should we care so much about a character that's been on the screen for 10 seconds
>>
>>83136518
We're only 3 seasons deep anon
Walter hadn't even broke bad by this stage in brba
>>
>>83137618
Walter was directly responsible for killing two men by the end of the first episode, and had already invested 5 figures into the Meth business.

Saul has... Helped make a free commercial for a Guitar Shop.
>>
>>83137812
He also cucked Chuck
>>
>>83137812
The whole purpose of bcs is to show Sauls transformation from a normal lawyer to a shady meme lawyer. The show differs from brba in magnitude but the character development happens at about the same speed.

There's a difference between a slow burning show and a show that's blatantly dragging the plot out to fill seasons and seasons.

BCS slipped into the latter after S1, I hope it goes back to actually progressing the story each episode.

I feel like Chuck's racism should've been alludes to beforehand, it kind of came out of the left field
>>
I still don't understand how Chuck's insurance will go up. It's not like he actually had anything actually happen that would raise it. I doubt having a 'breakdown' in court would allow an insurance company to raise your rates just because of that.
>>
>>83142047
Even if he has a mental disorder, he isn't technically 'crazy'.
>>
>>83140184
i dont understand.
s2, i agree, was very dragged out but a lot of shit is happening in s3.
>>
>>83142072
they could see the fact he started court proceedings against someone else as being kinda volatile. like, if your car gets fucked up, your insurance premiums get re-calculated and go up
>>
Does Jimmy benefit from throwing Chuck under the bus or did he just do it for the lulz?
>>
>>83142177
I know BB and BCS usually get all the facts before an episode to not write bullshit, but do you know if this would actually cause his insurance to go up or if it's just made up? We also don't know if it will actually go up or not.
>>
>>83142072
Presumably the company can raise insurance premiums at their discretion if they feel a particular lawyer is likely to be sued for malpractice more than the average lawyer would be. Chuck had a mental breakdown in court and essentially admitted that the only reason he was trying to get Jimmy disbarred is because he disliked him on a personal level. The way the company sees it, someone like that would be massively more likely to get sued for malpractice, so they can gouge him for more money.
>>
>>83142221
It was petty revenge. He's having an awful fucking time right now directly because of not being able to lawyer.
>>
Why hasn't Mesa Verde fired back at HHM for their loss of revenue on the delay to operate?
>>
>>83142599
it's not worth it, and realistically they can't do much. i mean, start a lawsuit over what's gonna be considered by everyone a genuine mistake (the 1216)? the delay isn't like years or something either.

also PR probably, might look bad on MV to be suing a well established practice over a small mistake. i think they just want to distance themselves from HHM as much as possible
>>
>>83142072
>It's not like he actually had anything actually happen that would raise it.

1) Gets to do cool manual labor tasks and works with his hands, I wish I did that sometimes rather than office work
2) Still tough and can fight
3) Still smart and figures out crimes and people can never quite kill him until he meets someone way smarter than Mike
4) Has a cute granddaughter and I will probably never know this feel
5) Strikes the perfect balance between good and evil and works with a constantly logical yet shifting personal code and actually cares about people like when he tried to get Baseball Cards to not die

Mike is really just a great person to be.

Why would you skip parts of movies? You might miss important nuances and stuff. Ive found out that 1.6x speed is the perfect middle ground for most films, you can still clearly follow the dialogue and see everything that happens while also having spending less time by not sitting through drawn out scenes for like 2 hours. Ive found myself watching a lot more movies after starting doing this, you can often squeeze directors entire filmography into 1 day.

Walt killed him through sheer fagrage to feel like the man. It wasn't part of some overarching scheme but a senseless and wasteful act of anger.
>>
>>83144933
>people can never quite kill him until he meets someone way smarter than Mike

lmao Walt killed him in the most pussy way possible, it didn't have anything to do with being smarter
>>
>>83145238

Mike was gong to kill him in the previous season.

Sucker punched him in a bar.

Tried stealing his share of the methylamine and force him to sell.

Handcuffed him to a radiator.

Wouldn't let Walt tie up his lose ends (i.e. give the names of the 9 guys in prison).

Fucker had it coming.
>>
>>83135479

I believe it is from Season 1, where Jimmy is denied a law job at HHM.
>>
>>83145719
Mike was dumb enough to use a plastic handcuff instead of a metal one.

Also, having any sympathy for walt is pure pleb filter.
>>
>>83134080
BCS is more suited to grannies than what we were expecting.
>>
>>83146136
Pointing out Mike had it coming and should have known Walt might do something is not sympathy for Walt.

Pleb.

Breaking Bad was slow, but that always built up to something

why does Odenkirk have to look like he has a stick up his ass all the time? Is that the full extent of his dramatic acting? Like the scene in the guitar shop, he acts like he's fucking constipated or something, every. fucking. scene. Ever heard of subtlety, Bob? Shits starting to get annoying.
I turned the ep off half way through coz this show is begininning to piss me off. 7 eps into the 3rd season, 3rd season will be over soon then we gotta wait like another year for season 4, Herman Trout will be dead irl by then. And Bob Odenkirk looks old as fuck which is not helped by the fact that all he's done this season is walk around grimacing at everything.

Yah, you aren't supposed to dislike people who do illegal or wrong things necessarily, you'd know that if you paid attention to shit you watch ever.

Kill yourself. Now, you'll probably just shrug this off as yet another hilarious "edgy" comment but I want you to know, from the bottomof my heart, I mean that. I 100% believe you have to put an end to your life before someone else inevitably does it for you which, believe me, will be much more painful for you and your family than if you take care of it in an planned out manner.
You have just admitted to not being able to sit through more than 10 seconds without losing your attention, buddy. I don't know how could you possibly make it through life with such a low, nay, non-existent attention span. I wish I could tell you there's still a way to remedy this but I don't know if that's true. At this point of your life (because I have to assume you are not a minor if you are here) some things are just irreparable damage and having such a humanly low ability to keep focus on a single thing is definitely one of those.
You are a burden not just to you, but to society as a whole. To your family who has to struggle with the, fuck it I can't even call you a person, THING that you've become. And to us, who have to deal with having to read the surprisingly somewhat coherent things you are currently posting.
This is no way to live your life my friend, one day this is going to cause you to piss off the wrong person and I just hope that maybe this comment won't be so long you'll dismiss it because you know you lack of the cerebral capacity to understand it. Sincerely, find some way you can quickly, painlessly, and cleanly end your life so we can all move on with ours. I'm not trying to be funny, I'm trying to help you out, buddy. The thought that someone like you can not just exist but get access to the internet and have free will over his life frightens me to the point that I'm finding it hard to type this while shaking.
Please, do the right thing. End yourself
