I remember a series done by the BBC where they got a bunch of kids, segregated them by gender, put them in these country houses and filmed it with the parents watching. One kid apparently went for a knife during a arguement and one of the film crew had to step into restrain him. The parents had to watch as their kids fought and bullied each other, rather heartbreaking.

I remember that two of the girls were late or something for the show, and the rest of the girls decided to write on the walls of the house they were going to stay in. Like Shining scary stuff y'know. When the girls arrived they were too scared to sleep in the house.

I also remember that the boys were always given harder things to do. For example I think they had to do their own shopping whilst the girls were given their food. They had an episode where they stayed outside and the boys had to actually fish and prepare it whilst the girls were just given a dead chicken.

It was interesting. Those that knew how to cook were in charge and didn't pass on that knowledge to the others to keep themselves in power.
