Kurosawa's best works?

Rashomon and Ran are great
The more I think about Seven Samurai the more I think it is amazing. Every scene has purpose and something to say. Kurosawa really knows how to tell a story.

Also, Nakadai > Mifune imo

Kagemusha is proper kino

I prefer his film noir to his Samurai stuff, but he didn't really make bad films.

An argument could be made for High and Low seeing as it's his most perfect film, I think Ikiru is more personal and resonates better. It's like with Ozu and Tokyo Story even though Late Spring is much more perfect and Tokyo Twilight is one of the most personal.
