I think Morpheus' character is there to show that Wick also needs help when he's desperate. And whenever he asks for help he becomes indebted to somebody, creating a cycle of debts that he simply can't escape from, which is why he can never be free from the world of assassins.

Why was John acting like killing the Italian chick was so hard? He did it pretty easily. Even afterwards most of the people that tried to kill him did so because of the bounty the brother placed on him, not as a result of him killing the woman.

The only minor gripe I had with this movie was that henchman assassin played by Common, who was like a supervillain to John Wick.
