It's really fucking good. Like Akira good. You can tell it adds some Hollywood to the narrative, but it actually helps frame the plot. Like with Akira, it's only a small portion of the actual manga, but they manage to pick a part that makes for a very good collection of concepts throughout.

Also Zara is cute. CUTE!

I'm still getting used to CGI animu, but there is nothing inherently wrong with it. Movement is discernable, lighting is less erratic, and particle effects are much more detailed. Polygon does some good work, and there's no reason you can't enjoy cel work and CG at the same time.
