Venom has always struggled to get great writing and story arcs, but he was simply my favorite concept and antihero. I have enjoyed several of Hardy's performances too, so this is inarguably good news for the character. Particularly after that nightmare now famously pictured in every textbook reference to how the third in any trilogy flops. I feel really good about this.

Agreed, the good Venom stories are very few and far between. The Hunger was a really great arc when Paul Jenkins was still writing Spectacular Spider-Man. I wish Venom was given more opportunities to be the hulking boogeyman he was in that and some early 90s stuff. Hopefully the Big Guy can bring some dimension to Eddie/Venom.
