I doubt you can say the new season is revolutionizing TV in the way that Twin Peaks' first go-around sent a real shockwave around network and cable television.

This by nature has a far more limited impact, because 1) so much has happened in a quarter-century, 2) this is not on prime-time TV (especially pre-internet), and 3) people are more "wise" to Lynch's game now.
