It was rushed a bit, and the TTGL stuff is true, but it made perfect sense. Everyone in the future knew what was going to happen thanks to the broadcast opening gag. "Now the fool seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is Aku". Aku poisoned the earth, made legions of robots that they would never stop fighting even after he was defeated, and ruined billions of lives. God knows what other contingency plans Aku had for his eventual defeat.

By Jack going back, yes he erased that future, but they all knew what had to be done. I mean shit, we saw like 75% of them get slaughtered just to help Jack be free and finish his job. Billions never existed, so trillions can experience an Akuless future. Jack let go of the past, the future, and his love for a future he might now even be part of. And as he looks out at all the mountains of cherry trees, and after the lady bug flies away, he sees exactly what he brought back to the world. He suffered, anguished, redeemed himself, and then sacrificed everything to brig beauty back to the world and make a better future. Literally the definition of a hero.

It's a shit ending because that's not how time travel is theorized to work. Being set to the future and set back to the past would not have invalidated the timeline he existed in, it would have simply created an alternate reality where different events happened but the other reality would continue to exist.

This show was cool for maybe 5 minutes when it was new. You've got to be a huge fag to watch it in 2017.

Considering the kingdom was completely repaired and his father was completely recovered from malnourishment, I'd say they got to consummate their love a few times before the wedding. Add to that it takes a lot of time to send out invitations to the world and for those people to travel to your home.

because Jack kept gradually learning to move on instead of looking for a way to go back to the past to solve his problems, down to almost committing honorable sudoku in a time of hopelessness. Ashi gave him a purpose in life to keep fighting and going forward, even though he was already personally improving on that.
Also, Aku represented the primordial evil (black mass). By destroying Aku, Jack should have been able only to take away his self awareness. You can't kill evil as a concept.
The series chickens out from all of that and instead gives Jack the power to do what three gods put together couldn't and then go live in a fairy tale world where nothing bad will ever happen again.

Even if they weren't thinking ahead that far, making it so that their offspring wouldn't be eternally under akus rule was the clear choice. I wish they had fleshed their decision to aid him for that purpose out a little more but muh 10 episodes
