This movie is terrible. Worst Nam flick until We Wuz Soldiers.

Pretty forgettable flick. I appreciate they made a Nam movie that was pretty much just about the soldiers and a specific battle, and not about the psychological stuff (Full Metal Jacket) or about Jesus vs. the Devil (Platoon), but it just didn't work that well.

Part of the problem is the cast is a bunch of nobodies. It's not like they were big actors at the time either. They were basically nobodies then, and they're really nobodies now. I mean, the fucking guy from Wings is in it.

I grew up in New Zealand where we only had two tv channels and wings was on every night during primetime. And I still never watched a single episode.

And I'd say Apocolypse Now would be the best Nam movie except that it is too damn long. That river just seems to go on forever.
